Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Elizabeth Hughes
Dr. Elizabeth Hughes is a graduate from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating, Dr. Hughes founded and established two successful small animal hospitals. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Hughes has a son and two daughters. She enjoys attending her daughters’ horse shows as well as traveling or spending time sailing.
Dr. Nichole Moore
Born and raised in Florida, Dr Moore obtained her undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. She then continued at UF to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Moore completed large animal internships focusing primarily on equine and farm animal surgery. She decided to expand her passion for medicine and surgery to the small animal field, where she now focuses her practice. Dr. Moore is an avid hunter/jumper equestrian who spends her free time riding horses, traveling with her husband and daughters, and playing with her dogs.
Dr. Ivan Nunez
Dr. Nunez earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and is accredited by the International Council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA).
His veterinary journey has given him a unique and diverse background. He spent two years working in the production and care of aquatic species, an area inspired by his passion for aquaculture and animal health. At the same time, he has always maintained a strong connection to small animal medicine, gaining experience with dogs and cats throughout his veterinary education and professional career.
He believes every patient deserves compassionate, thoughtful care and that helping pets live longer, healthier lives is one of the most rewarding parts of being a veterinarian.
Dr. Nunez is excited to be part of our veterinary team and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets and providing them with the same attentive care he would want for his own fur family.
